Fellowship Descriptions

The primary objective of the Tech Career Exploration fellowship program is to offer high school students a well-rounded understanding of the Software Engineering, User Experience, and Product Management career pathways. By the end of the program, attendees will gain insights into the key concepts, tools, and skills required for success in these fields, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future career paths.

Fellowship Descriptions

The primary objective of the Tech Career Exploration fellowship program is to offer high school students a well-rounded understanding of the Software Engineering, User Experience, and Product Management career pathways. By the end of the program, attendees will gain insights into the key concepts, tools, and skills required for success in these fields, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future career paths.

Learning Goals

Educate and inform students about different career pathways, and expose them to some level of career exploration. Provide some hands-on experience in each of the pathways, Software Engineer, User Experience and Product Management, as well as hearing what current professionals have to say in each of the pathways. 

  1. Holistic Understanding: Students will gain insights into the end-to-end processes of software development, user experience design, and product management.

  2. Real-world Application: The program includes hands-on projects and interactions with industry professionals to provide practical experience.

  3. Informed Career Decisions: Participants will be better equipped to make informed decisions about pursuing higher education and careers in technology-related fields.

Fellowship Participation 

Participants are expected to attend all sessions for our workshops, both Tuesday and Thursday sessions in the duration of June 23, 2026, to September 8, 2026.

Attendance will be taken for each session. Participants are expected to have at least 80% attendance rate overall.

This fellowship is catered to high school juniors and seniors.

Fellowship Participation 

Participants are expected to attend all sessions for our workshops, both Tuesday and Thursday sessions in the duration of June 23, 2026, to September 8, 2026.

Team Project

You will be expected to work in teams to come up with a project that involves ideation, prototyping and creating product pitch to present during the end of the fellowship on Demo Day (May 8 2026). You will be expected to present your project idea, and towards the end of the fellowship, you will present your product pitch. Your team should have 2-4 teammates. 

Office hours will be made available by request on Discord, and Office Hours. Feel free to always reach out whenever you need, and remember! There are NO DUMB QUESTIONS! All questions are valid, and we encourage you to ask questions!
